Rendering Exercise
While these two handouts are not strictly figurative, the figure is made up of simple forms as we have discussed in the construction section of this site. Doing these exercises from life and with careful observation in mind is a great way to practice your rendering when a model is not present. This will also help you see how to adapt photographs which contain less information than observation from life.
